I am devastated that the world has lost such a special person.

I got to know Annie through the Gardner Street Gospel Choir where I stood beside her for many years. I loved her voice, her spirit, her sense of fun, her kindness and how she lit up a room. We stayed friends over the years and her sharp wit, ready laugh and wise words were the perfect mix - we had a lot of fun. We even shared stage on the Late Late Show when we sang in the Bugle Babes - Annie could do anything she decided too. She was magical when she sang, and hearing the Sparrow and Wade in the Water at the Mass brought back just how phenomenal her talent was.

I send my thoughts and prayers to her family at this heartbreaking time.

Regrettably I only really knew Ann-Marie as a child. Our families took it in turns to take the children to school each week. I remember her as a quiet, adorable little girl. I was friends with Andrew at the time. From what I hear, she had an amazing talent and a great singing voice. She will be greatly missed by everyone in Elm Mount Court.
You will be singing with the angels in heaven. RIP Ann-Marie and my deepest condolences to the Redmond family.

My condolences to all Annie's family. Like many others, I met Annie through the Gardiner Street Gospel Choir and like them, I was in awe of her talent. I considered it an honour to have shared the altar and stage with Annie on so many occasions and I will always remember her as not just a wonderful singer, who seemed oblivious to her talent at times, but also a kind, gentle, caring soul.

I am so heartbroken to hear of the sad passing of Annie. I was very proud to call her a great friend through our years together in The Gardiner Street Gospel Choir. We stood directly next to each other every week as well as on some of the biggest stages in Ireland and we really did have the best times together. Spending time with her both on and off stage certainly made my life better. I loved her laugh, her sense of joy and her passion for music which was inspiring to me. I will always think of you whenever I hear Oh Happy Day. My deepest condolences to her family. Taken far too soon xx

I am so sorry to hear about your loss, my deepest condolences to Laura and the Redmond family. I'll always remember Anne-Marie's beautiful voice and her talent for music.

I'm so shocked and saddened by the news, It has taken a while to sink in fully. My sincerest love and heartfelt condolences pour out to Anne-Marie's family. Annie was the brightest diamond I knew, a cheeky loveable monkey with a beautiful soul and a voice that had the power to melt hearts.

I'm honored to have called Annie a friend and I had the pleasure to have sung with Annie for a few years in the Gardiner Street Gospel Choir. We rehearsed together and performed at any available chance (lol), and she'd always be up for the post-performance chat/pint/laugh. I always looked forward to laughing with her and I, like others, were in awe of her talent and grace.

After 20 or more years it was amazing to reconnect socially again recently and see Annie enjoy performing music once again, I always tried to keep her somewhere on my radar and would pop a message to her every now and then to make sure she was ok. Life throws curveballs to all of us, and people can fall through the cracks easily! I'll miss her cheeky smile, her dry sarky jokes and I know every time I listen to any of her recordings I'll feel her energy still swirling and she'll be right there with me. I just hope she knew how awesome we all thought she was, And that she finds some peace.

Sincere condolences to the Redmond family. So deeply saddened to hear of Anne Marie's passing. I first met Anne Marie through Waltons, where we both worked, and she had a personality you could not help but immediately warm to. More recently, we had been playing some music together, with the hope of forming a little music duo. Unfortunately, our playing never got beyond Anne Marie's front room, but I will be forever grateful to have shared those moments with her, along with the laughter and easy conversation we had between songs. She talked too much (her own words) and I spoke too little, so it was a perfect match.

She was a warm and shining light, and will be so deeply missed. Rest in peace Anne Marie.

John Steinbeck wrote that underneath their topmost layers of frailty, everyone wants to be good and wants to be loved. You were both - to many and by many.

Maybe you couldn’t see your own wealth, or didn’t want to. But I hope you caught occasional glimpses of your uniqueness, your spark, your intelligence, your wit, enthusiasm, kindness, talent. Because I saw them all, and in abundance.

Very sorry for your loss. Anne-Marie was a wonderful person and will be sorely missed. Her soul lives on in her songs.

I will forever remember Anne-Marie (Annie, as we called her) as a bright, incredibly talented, funny, and sensitive soul. Like others, I first met Annie in the Gardiner Street Gospel Choir. It was privilege to experience her singing talent up close; the songs we sang together are now little treasures I will hold close. Being with her when she performed solos was so special- she was like a beautiful bird, soaring free above us all. I loved every moment of making music with her.
