I was very sorry to hear about Anne’s passing. I knew her from the Wishing Well sessions and have fond memories of her singing and her kind and fun nature. May she RIP.

Hi Tony just heard of the sad passing of your dear sister Anne. May she rest in peace.

Anne lived with our family when I was a child and gave birth to her daughter Niamh during that time. Anne was one of the kindest, sweetest and most authentic people I have ever known. Her early life story formed the basis of a book my mother co-wrote with Heather Laskey The Children of the Poor Clares which exposed the harsh reality of Anne’s childhood trauma growing up with cruel nuns in an industrial convent in Cavan. Anne’s bravery and strength of character was incredible. She was a truly gifted woman, highly creative with a beautiful singing voice. She deserved the best in life and it wasn’t always granted but she will always be remembered by me with love and gratitude for her gentle nature, her generosity of spirit and her purity of heart.

I’m so sad to hear this news. Time may move on but I have such good memories of the Wishing Well in its heyday… and Anne was a major part of it. No one could sing Wandering Aengus like her. Thanks for the good memories.

I'm so sad she's left us but i have many beautiful memories of Anne from through out the years, she meant a lot to me & I'm so lucky to have her memories of the times we had together, Niamh & Davin your in my thought's and I am here for you's always, love you Anne & may God look after you & Jack.

Sincere condolences Niamh, Deirdre, Aisling and all the extended Mooney family. Anne was a dear friend to my mam and always treated us both like part of the family. I’ve great memories of Anne. Her love of music, great sense of humour and her big heart will live long in my thoughts. RIP Anne.

Anne meant a great deal to me when I was living in Ireland and I was an aupair. We met at the whishing well in Blanckrock where she sang on monday nights. She made me feell part of the group. She shared her love of irish music with me. She even helped me get a violin but I never got to master the instrument enough to play in the pub. I remember her to be kind to others. Being french, the kindness she showed really surprised me at first. She sang for elderly ! I always thought it to be the best gesture anyone could do. I often talk about her when I speak of irish people being really kind. When I think of my years spent in Ireland and the people that made my years unforgettable she is in the top 5 ! I will never forget her. She will always be my "Irish Anne". May you rest in peace Anne and sing to the angels.

I have very fond memories of Ann and at one stage lived very close, and I used to babysit Niamh and do arts and crafts. You all and all the extended family are in my thoughts and prayers . xx
