Nancy was a force of nature whenever I met her and whenever she visited Birmingham, the laughter always followed. Her fondness and love of my dad was clear to see and I remember, though I was young, how upset she was with his stroke back then. The letters, cards and postcards she wrote were always a feature when they arrived and I can see her distinctive handwriting in my mind just thinking about it.
Though we’ve not been in touch often, Nancy was in my dad and mums thoughts before their own passing and will always be fondly remembered here.
