I am incredibly sorry to hear of Anne's passing. She was a true servant of Irish sport and was passionate about growing snowsports into what it is today. Nearly 20 years ago, she answered a cold email from a 14-year old kid, and by doing so provided me with the opportunity of a lifetime in representing Ireland. I would not be where I am today without her. I hope her family and close friends are able to find comfort in knowing she helped and affected so many lives. My deepest condolences to you all. Rest in peace.
I was very saddened to hear of Anne’s passing. Anne was my Girl Guide leader in Buíon Fidelma. We were so fortunate to have Anne as a leader who lead by example, and provided us with wonderful opportunities for which I am very greatful. My deepest sympathy to Carmel, Maureen, Joan and all the extended family.
Sending sincere condolences to all Anne‘s family and friends. Anne did so much for me and the skiing community, whether it was last minute race entries, assisting organising camps or helping everyone on their way to reach their goals. In the last 7 years, since I joined SAI at 12 years old, she has opened countless opportunities for me and I will forever be grateful. May she rest in peace🕊️

Nghĩ về mọi người trong thời gian khó khăn này.

So very sorry to hear of Anne’s passing.
Many skiers knew her much longer but we first crossed paths in 1983, and she came out to Chatel on our ski clinics in the late 1980s & 1990s, where she was great fun as well as being an accomplished skier. Subsequently we were in much closer touch than she ideally might have liked as together we juggled entries for the long racing careers of Tamsen and Kirsty; Anne always with diligence and efficiency as well as taking an interest in how the girls were getting on. Anne was great company and will be much missed. We offer sincere condolences to her family, and her many friends worldwide in the ski community. Jane, Tamsen and Kirsty McGarry ⛷️
My deepest condolences to Aunty Joan, Maureen, Carmel, Joan and Family.

Very saddened to see that Anne has passed away. I had the priveledge to work with Anne in the SSAI between 2015 and 2021 with the cross-country skiers. In that time she was always very helpful as cross-country skiing was finding its feet. She helped us organise no less than three world championships during my time and a number of trips where she always went out of her way to fix things, with three Galway marathons that we competed in on rollerskis.

She was devoted to the things that she loved. And I would just like to pass on my sincere condolences to her family and all those touched by her passing. May she rest in peace. She has touched the lives of many athletes for many years.

Dear Friends and Family of Anne,

It is with great sadness to hear of Annes passing.

For the past 15 years since the age of 14 Anne has been an unwavering support in my journey through sport. From cafe meetups in Dublin to competition events abroad and all of the countless emails and calls she helped me to navigate a very challenging sport.
She had such selfless drive to champion us as the athletes and always had so much to give.

As a volunteer she worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to enable us athletes to compete on the world stage. Her contribution to snowsports in Ireland, and to the people lucky enough pass through during her time, is immeasurable and will stand to us for years to come.

I am truly grateful for all of her support over these many years.
I send my blessings to Anne, her close family, friends and colleagues. Her selfless care, determination and enthusiasm will be sorely missed.

My sincere condolences,

Cormac Comerford
Anne’s passing is a huge loss to all of us who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her, and her contribution to the Irish skiing and Snowsports community was immeasurable. She gave her time, energy, and kindness so freely, always putting athletes and colleagues at the centre of everything she did. Many in our community, both young and old, were inspired by her encouragement and supported by her tireless work behind the scenes.
Anne’s absence will be profoundly felt by the Irish Mogul Team and the Dooley family.

Anne’s legacy will live on in the many lives she inspired and the dreams she helped bring to life.

Claire Dooley, Thomas Dooley, and Darcy Downs who are currently training in Chile wanted to pass on their deepest sympathies.

With heartfelt sympathy,

It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Anne.
I feel truly grateful to have known her over the past ten years during my time with Irish Snowsports. Anne was always there for us athletes—whether it was meeting deadlines or solving logistical challenges during our travels.

I will really miss our calls. She always had a way of making me feel calm, as if all my worries disappeared after speaking with her—and she never failed to put a smile on my face.

Knowing that our meeting at the end of May would be our last is heartbreaking, but I am thankful I had the chance to see her one final time.

I believe I speak for everyone in the Snowsports community when I say that Anne will remain in our hearts and minds wherever we travel, especially during competitions in the winter. We are all privileged to have shared time and work with such a remarkable woman.

My sincere condolences go to Anne’s family.
