We had great fun with her and John RIP at St.Michael’s tennis club,never a dull moment if Ann was around.
When all weather tennis was expected of us and it was a wet night she would say “ This is good for your complexion”….Every drizzly day when walking our dog reminds me of her as it pops into my head.
She was kind,classy and a lovely person. She will be badly missed.

I offer my sympathy to the O’Donnell family and to all the Keane sisters on the death of a devoted mother and sister. As young people growing up in Ballaghaderreen there was always a welcome in Keane’s house. Her sister Eileen was my friend. Later Anne worked in the school where my brother Michael was Principal and he often talked of their conversations about the benefits of growing up in a small town -a microcosm of the world! I was welcomed to the lovely home she had with John, who was a gentleman. May he Rest In Peace. Apart from having a lovely nature, Anne was beautiful. She was recently predeceased by two childhood friends, Mary Gallagher (my sister) and Anne Shannon, whose funeral she attended in Achill in April. I was happy to see her there even though the occasion was sad. She was as friendly, elegant and lovely as ever. May her kind, unselfish soul Rest In Peace.

Deepest sympathies to all the O'Donnell and Keane families on their sad loss. My friendship with John started over eighty years ago in Iona Road National School. We had a very peripatetic relationship over the years but I was delighted when John met Anne and was very pleased to be best man at their wedding in Monkstown. we continued to be long time friends even after they had settled in Cork. Anne was the rock on which John and all the family thrived. May she rest in peace.

We travelled to school every morning and evening together ..we enjoyed our chats and enjoyed many a good laugh at the happenings of the day.
