I was so sorry to hear of Anne’s untimely passing. May her gentle soul rest in peace. Sincere condolences to Fiona & Brian the Quinn and O’Shaughnessy families.
Anne was my geography teacher in 1989 for my inter cert. She inspired us all with her wonderful teaching methods.
I was delighted to run into her in Sicily a few years ago with some of her Colaiste teaching colleagues on a little trip. She’d had a great day at Mt. Etna.

Sincere condolences to the Quinn and Shaughnessy familes on your sad loss. Anne taught me geography and history in the Colaiste and I've fond memories of when she would stop reading the history book and say. ' Now girls, this is where the book is wrong'. She was passionate about her subjects and i went on to study geography and geology in college.

My sincerest condolences to the Quinn and Shaughnessy family. I am a former student of the Colaiste. Geography class with Anne Quinn was the class I loved. Yes i remember her drawing the mountain contours on the board and the duster aka glacier would pass by, we had so much fun in that class. So much so that I decided to do a second study and would actually find myself sitting and overnighting (biwacking) on those glaciers in the Alps knowing it all began there with Anne Quinn. I always wanted to let her know I went on and pursued a passion and academic career in geography and geology but never quite managed to let her know. Thank you for inspiring so many of us. May you rest in peace.

I knew Anne first as a brand new teacher starting out her teaching career. She was so cool, wore interesting clothes and while being a great geography teacher, she always made learning fun. In more recent years we had conversations about her love of fabrics and her interest in making clothes. It was always lovely to meet her. May she rest in peace 🙏

Ms Quinn, as I knew her was a wonderful Geography teacher. I can still see her with her glasses perched on top of her head as she used her handbag as a prop in a classroom demonstration. She was very passionate about teaching and she helped her students to excel.
