The news of Anne's passing has deeply affected me.
As a snooker journalist, I had direct contact with Anne from 1986 to 1995 in the press room at tournaments. Not only all over the UK, but also abroad, such as in Dubai and my home land, Belgium. I thought she was a wonderful woman in every way and probably the best press officer I met in my 50 years of sports journalism.
One of my fondest memories of Anne was in 1992 when she was press officer at the European Open in Tongeren (Belgium). Because her birthday fell during that tournament, the Belgian organisers surprised her with a gigantic cake with her name on it, much to her amazement. She was beaming! Anne was a very caring person who looked after all the players with kindness and consideration during her many years working for the WPBSA. Rest in peace.

To Anne's family...
Anne was one of the most reassuringly professional organisers I have ever met in snooker. So good at what she did, and really looked after us all in Blackpool from 92-96 or so. To me, she was the face of the WPBSA in those years... condolences to all of you...
