Our thoughts and prayers today are with Vera's family. We always found Vera to be great company and full of engaging chat on a wide range of topics. Always elegant. Our contact was with her late son Pat. Gradually we got to know all the rest of the lovely McCabe family

Vera was without doubt a loving mother, wife, grandmother and more. I am sure there will be many moving eulogies today as she is laid to rest beside her late and please God joins her much missed husband Jimmy and son Pat in a better place.

Sadly neither myself or my mother Ann Kelly cannot attend today's funeral in Dublin in person.

We are surely with you in spirit.

I never got to meet my mother-in-law, nor did our baby son Zion, but Brian told me the most wonderful things about her. I can see her beauty and love of style from her photos, and enjoy hearing the romantic stories of her and Jimmy. She will be so sorely missed by Brian, his siblings, the twenty grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. May she rest in peace.
We will be reciting Psalms in her blessed memory.
