I knew of Vonnie before I ever met her, through my mother, with whom she was friends during their youth.
Having got to know her myself, through the Grove, I developed a great respect and liking for her, which only grew over the years.
She was a great lady, with a wonderful sense of humour and a fantastic work ethic.

God bless Vonnie. She was my mother, Bridget (Bridie) Darby Dowd’s favorite niece. As they always did on earth, Bridget and Vonnie are enjoying each other in heaven. We were all blessed to know Vonnie. Sending prayers and deepest condolences to the Gaffney, Darby and Sharkey families.
