I only heard of Annette’s sad passing today. I have many lovely memories of ballet classes as a child & I still think with fondness of Annette every time I walk past Novara Hall. She may be gone but her influence will live on in Bray through many generations of ballerinas.
I've just been told about Annette's passing, and I want to add my sincere condolences to her family. She meant so much to so many. I will always remember her, and miss her for her intelligence, strength - particularly after Michael's death, and her 'get on with it' attitude in the face of her challenges.
I will miss her chats, and am very grateful to have known her and had the pleasure of her company.

To the family of "Miss Hynes" as we all knew her-
My deepest condolences on the passing of a wonderful woman. I had the honor of being taught ballet by Annette in Arklow (with my two sisters also) for many years and I never forgot her. She taught me things I did not know about manners-- things like ladies never whistle (!) -- and she was just generally a really great teacher. Our trips to Bray for the exams were a huge deal and something I still remember when I go to Bray. I remember John- who played the piano for her/us and had a great rapport with her. The Ballet Display event, in St Marys College, was another huge deal. She remains a strong memory of my childhood and in recent years I had looked her up and was happy to see that she had remained active as she grew older.
I am sure your loss is immense. She was a remarkable woman. Please know that you are in our thoughts. Miriam and all the Nyhans (Ferrybank, Arklow, by way of Cork and San Francisco too)

As a past student of the BIFE dance course I am so saddened to hear of Annette's passing. She contributed hugely to my studies with her positivity, kindness and words of encouragement. She really made you believe that anything was possible if you put your mind to it and I'd have been lost without her words of wisdom throughout my years there.
My thoughts and prayers are with all those who loved her - especially her family. Thanks for everything Annette - You were and always will be an inspirational woman. Rest peacefully x

Condolences to Mark, Blaire and Simon on the passing of their mum.
We moved next door to Annette about 7 years ago and over that time I enjoyed many conversations with her. She had a great sense of humour and a way with words. Each chat would reveal some hitherto unknown nugget from her past - from politics to ballet. I was always left with the impression she had lived a full life. RIP Annette
