Dearest Uncle Charlie, Cousins Anne, Tom and Michael

I am so, so deeply sorry for the loss of Auntie Annie. It was with the heaviest heart that I received from my Mother today the news of Annie's passing! I cannot imagine the loss that you are feeling. It is so hard to let go of something as special and wonderful as Annie Fitzgerald. She was truly one in a million. A very rare specy was Annie. A woman I was so PROUD to call my Aunt and to be honest I always looked
at Annie as the Grandmother I never had.

Charlie my darling, I was so glad to see you and Annie before I left for Miami 18 months ago! I remember that day fondly. We laughed and laughed some more as we always did! You and Annie were truly the loves of each other's lives. You and Annie demonstrated to me all that true love should be – loyalty, respect, love, honor and oh so much laughter – you two together were better than any stand up comedian. You always
brightened my days and I will always remember as a little girl the excitement of going to Albert House to see Auntie Annie and Uncle Charlie and that beautiful sea view and of course the infamous cuckoo clock!!! And then as I grew older, I loved that Annie or Charlie were able to order me a gin 'n tonic from down below! Ha ha! Oh the fun times!

Anne, Tom and Michael you have lost your darling mother, I am so, so sorry. The great thing you can say today is you were so lucky to have one of life's great ladies as your Mum. It was always very clear to see that she was not just your Mother but your best friend as well. And boy oh boy was she so proud of her family and Grand children. So, so proud. Her eyes would beam when she would talk our her Children, her Grandchildren and
of course her Charlie.

I want to finish to say that I am very sad and sorry that I am not going to be there to say Good bye to my Auntie Annie and to give you all the biggest hug! Please know that Annie and you all are in my heart and thoughts. I know she is in Heaven enjoying a catch up with her Sister Kathleen and keeping us all a place up there. I can't wait to see you again Annie Fitzgerald aka 'Auntie Annie'!

Much much love, kisses and hugs from across the sea to Charlie, Anne, Tom, Michael and the all Grandchildren.

I'm thinking of you all.
