Pierce, and family, Jane, Charlie and Terry ...

I was very shocked to hear of Anne's death, I met Jane (Jackson) at another funeral and she told me then.

Anne was in my life through childhood, her dad and mine were friends all their lives, from their schooldays. I have photographs of Anne and I in a playpen together. I was at her wedding.

I had heard little about her in recent years, except I knew of the move to Wexford. I am delighted life worked out so well with the acting, i had not known how very successful Anne was. And reading all the tributes, she was well integrated in the local community, where she was a very valued person.

But such a terrible loss for her family, for all of you. And a sudden death leaves you reeling. I want send my warmest thoughts and sympathy to you all, it is a tough time and you will miss her forever. Anne was always very warm and inclusive any time I ran into her, and I can only imagine the grief that she is gone.

So sorry to have missed her funeral and farewell ceremonies.

It was a privilege and joy to work with Annie on ‘Waiting for Elvis’ at the Axis eleven years ago. She was kind, generous, so funny and incredibly talented, without doubt one of the finest actresses I’ve been lucky enough to work with.

I am saddened to hear that Anne has passed away, I watched her on Fair City as Angela O’Connell, she played a fantastic character and she was an outstanding actress.

So sad to hear of Anne's passing, she was the most glorious twinkly wonderful woman and actor. My last memory of her is of her dancing in full fringe Stevie Nicks outfit, reducing the whole cast and crew to hysterics lipsyncing on set of Holding in West Cork. She was kind to a fault. She came to support tiny works in progress by new writers and sat beaming in the audience; full of hugs and love after. One of a kind and sadly missed. Go softly magnificent Annie x
