Its with great sadness i heard of Annies death having been on hols.Sincere sympathy to her adored Pierce,Paul&Karen.I had great fun playing cards in parish hall with Annie & the late Judy.

I am so very sorry to hear this news of Anne’s passing. God rest her gentle soul. Anne was like a mother to me in H1TF and Denis Burkitts in the mid 90s. She was an amazing lady, friend and of course nurse who cared for so many. She was a great mentor to me and took me, a newly qualified ‘country’ girl/ nurse under her wing, I loved doing nights with her. She was keen to help me learn and also gave me good advice. I have such fond memories of Anne. I loved to get her yearly Christmas card with the news of how the family was doing and of course a special mention each year for you Pierce. She was always keen to know all was well with me.
I am sorry I was away and couldn't make her funeral

Dear Karen, Paul and Pierce, I can’t tell you how sorry I am to hear of Annie’s passing. She will be such a loss to you, your extended families, friends & neighbours. I have such lovely memories of Annie when we hung around your house in Abbey Park with Karen. Despite Annie (Mrs. O’Neill as we then called her!) working nights in St. James hospital, she always let us hang out in her kitchen even though she was trying to get some sleep before her next night shift. Annie also welcomed us gang of teenage girls to stay in her home in her beloved home town of Culdaff, of which I have many wonderful memories. You have posted a beautiful picture of your Mum & it’s exactly how I will remember her. Thinking of you all at this sad time. May Annie’s gentle soul rest in peace x

I was so sorry to hear this news . I worked with Annie on One Top from 1990-1994. She was an amazing nurse and an inspiration to us all . Annie was always about her patients and was also a great support to us young nurses. I loved our chats when we did nights together. It was so lovely to see her at the BMT celebration a few months ago. She was a legend and will be missed. Rest well now Ann, your work is done. My sympathies to all her family and friends.
