I am proud to say that Tony was one of my true friends. We spent many years working together and I watched a caring, concerned and watchful man keep a close eye on the students and not surprisingly he was held in such high regard by them. He made going to work every day so enjoyable and no matter what the crisis he was there with his steady calm. He as much as anyone helped St. Michaels to be what it is. To Hanna and family I know your loss is great but you can be so proud of a life well lived. Good by my friend and thanks for just being yourself. Gary.

It was a somber day for everyone in St. Michael's College when we heard of Tony's passing. For many years, he was the first to arrive at the school and the last to leave; in between, he kept a close eye on the entire operation, ensuring everything was done correctly. He was a friend to teachers, students, and parents and went out of his way to help in every way possible. At his core, he was a carer and looked out for people, especially those who were vulnerable. He had a heart of gold, as evident in his affection for his wife, Hannah, his children, and his grandchildren, all of whom will deeply miss him. May he Rest in Peace.

During his time in St. Michael’s, Tony was involved in all aspects of Junior School life. The range of extra–curricular activities which the boys enjoyed and benefitted from through those years was in no small part due to Tony’s dedication and tireless efforts in ensuring that everything was just right for every occasion.
As a colleague, Tony was loyal, supportive and cheerful. He will be fondly remembered by all of us who worked with him.

I was so sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. He was an absolute gentleman and facilitated most of St Michael’s events on and off the rugby pitches. I met his brother John a number of times and he appeared to be cut from the same ‘solid’ block.

I was so sorry to hear about Tony’s passing. From the very beginning of my time at St. Michael’s, he showed not just me, but my entire cohort nothing but quiet kindness, a steady presence, and a good honest conversation whenever you crossed paths.

He truly embodied what it meant to be part of St. Michael’s, a gentleman through and through. Whether keeping a close eye on his beloved pitches or keeping order around the pavilion, Tony had a way of letting you know when you’d crossed the line, and you always knew it came from a place of care and pride in the school.

I have many great memories of Tony from my years spent at St. Michaels. He always knew how make us smile with his wit and dry sense of humour. I'll always be thankful for all his support with countless early morning and late night events at the school. He clearly took immense pride in his work, keeping everything running no matter the weather. I'm very grateful to Tony for having made school such a lovely place to come to every day.
