Tony took me under his wing when I came to Dublin as a very green young culchie, and introduced me to the wonderful Byrne clan. He was a loyal and fearless comrade.

Tony influenced my life in a very helpful way when I knew him in the late 80s. We also had a nice day recently when we visited our great friend Denis Hurley in Roscommon. I wish to offer my condolences to all his family.
