I got to know Tony through my brother David. He regularly visited our house and when there was turf to be saved Tony was yer man. The earlier the time for starting the better it suited Tony. 5am was his preference. Not a minute to the wasted. Not a second was ever wasted by Tony. His good deeds for his family and friends are countless. His love of nature and his care of the environment are a lesson for us all.

The news of our cousin Tony's passing brought us deep sadness. We cherish the happy memories in his company as long as I can remember and only last year we met up and reflected on the early memories. Sincere and heartfelt sympathy to Anne, Kevin ,Padraic, Annie,,Mary and all the extended family. Unfortunately I have a bad flu at the moment and we're unable to go to the funeral. Dreadfully sorry to learn of Tony's passing.
Many a lift I gave Tony when I was working in Ballina years ago (before he taught himself to drive), and many a memorable chat we enjoyed. I fondly recall his numerous entertaining stories. Tony would brighten even the most depressing morning.
