where I my started my chip eating experience daily
on my bike after school in St Declans.
Yes Delicatos was my firtst stop for my fix of chips.
and my taste buds have never changed over the years.

In their day there was nothing to compare for me, with a Delicato chip.
my memory extends to the shawly women with their Pyrex dishes
brim full with Delicatos.
with that memory in mind, ann in view of the ozone layer
I brought my plates to chippers in recent times.
I have not met any of the family over many years adios > Tony

I remember him well, often got fish and chips from him in The Venetian Grill in John Street, as did my late mother (Patricia Denn, Waterside) and her siblings and my grandparents as well. Mam thought highly of Tony and all the Delicato family, would often pop in to say hello to Tony and pick up a fish and chips treat for us when we were down on holiday.

Made my childhood and teen years golden. RIP
