It is with sadness that i hear of the sudden death of Tony, i knew him as always a dapper dressed man who always greeted me as i tried to navigate LIT in the early days..

My sincere sympathy to Tina and the wider Fefguson family on their sad loss. The description "gsntleman" is often applied to someone but never as well merited as when applied to Tony Ferguson. He was indeed a gentleman, not just in looks but in the manner in which he treated his rellow workers and students in college. His friendly, good-humoured and unassuming presence as he went about his work in ths halls of Moylish was much more appreciated than he ever knew and sadly, a great deal more than we should have let him know. Hs will be remembered at mass in the church of San Lorenzo, in Palmanova, next sunday 15th.

Sincere condolences on the very sad passing of Tony. You would always walk away from Tony with a smile on your face after a chat. He would come to the Exams hatch in Summer with an ice-ream for all or at Christmas time with Christmas decorations. He was a gentleman and so thoughtful.

Tony was a beautiful charming person who extended such warmth and graciousness to everyone he met, he was also one of Limerick’s best dressed men in the 1980’s.

A lovely man who worked diligently but was never too busy for a chat. Will always remember the random ice cream treats no matter what the temperature was outside! RIP Tony.
