Anthony (Tony) Germaine

So sorry Catherine &Family to learn about Tony's death on 10th August. It was a pleasure to meet you both under so difficult circumstances in the Corrigan Ward Beaumont. Tony was such a cheerful man and on meeting him one would never guess he was so ill as he spoke about the lovely times you had together and the travel you did together . He said he enjoyed his life which was lovely to hear. May he rest in peace. Helen and Family

Sincere sympathies to the Germaine family. Tony had the misfortune of having me in his class for micky d and then tech drawing for five years. He persevered and i went on to use those skills in my life and career. I happened to meet him last year and it was wonderful to share stories of PCS. Thanks, Tony. I'm grateful to you for your input and patience.

I am saddened by the passing of my dear colleague, friend and mentor Tony, having met Tony forty years ago through football and then working with him in the TUICU, he was the most dedicated, sincere volunteer, who gave freely of his time. He always had time for a chat and a laugh, and he made us a better person from knowing him, his genuine kindness was refreshing in this day and age, to all the Germaine's take comfort in the legacy of the happy memories that he left with us, Ar Dheis De go raibh a Anam Dilis

I was saddened to hear of Tony’s passing. While I never had him as a teacher, I remember him well as a kind and friendly neighbour from my years growing up in Portmarnock (Ardilaun). He always seemed to have time for a chat and took interest in anything sports related. He leaves behind warm memories in the community. My thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family and friends at this time.
