Anthony (Tony) Hackett

So sad to hear of Tony’s passing. He was a great man. Taught me many things in football that I still use to this day. He took all the Ballybough lads under his wing and made some fine young men out of us. Thanks Tony for all the lovely memories and lessons. Codladh samh.

Dear Aunty Helen, Karen, Anthony, William and Stephen,

It has so deeply saddened us to hear that that my dearest uncle Anthony has passed.

I have so many wonderful memories of growing up at the family home with him, he was like my big brother. His kindness and love will always be in my heart and thoughts.

Anthony was a caring and gentle soul who always wanted the best for us all. That’s how I will remember him.
