I have only just found out about Tony’s passing. A true gentleman, I never met a nicer person. I’ll miss talking to him this Christmas. He was a very skilled piano technician & also great fun.
I am still finding it hard to put into words how much I miss this wonderful man. He was the kindest, most gentle soul, who never spoke ill of anyone, even those who had hurt him and I never heard a single profanity uttered, no matter how upset he was.
In all the years I knew him, we talked of many subjects- he had a keen interest in so many things and he had such a terrific memory. He was very talented but even more modest.
A true gentleman who touched the hearts of many.
You were one in a million Anthony and you have left a huge hole in many lives but you will never be forgotten.

Agh Tony..
Many's the great chat we had, and some super reminiscing, with lots of fun and laughter. I have known you for almost 30 yrs, from my old and newer shop, the Colour Copy Centre. You were so kind to my wife and I. Down through the yrs. You brought us on your 'guided tours' a few times, through the Memorial Gdns. And gave us the history to boot. I probably had a softer spot for you than anyone I ever knew. You were like a second Father to me. Rest In Peace, old Friend... "Greatest Gentleman" is what I told you you were, when I saw you last week. And that was the Truth. You were. Without a shadow of a doubt..

RIP Tony. Thank you so much for your friendship, generosity, the walks at the Memorial park, and for the phone calls talking about any topic. All the stories about the neighbourhood, your childhood, your trips to Spain, your Christmas cards, and for being always happy to meet for lunch. You will be missed, and it was an honour to be your friend!
We extend our deepest sympathy to you Phyllis & Ronnie and to Tony’s sister-in-law and nieces & nephews, friends and extended family. A life well lived.

Tony was a gentleman. I worked with Tony in Hatch Street just after college. I moved away to America not long after in 2017 but before I left he drove across Dublin one Saturday morning to pick me up and gave me a tour around Kilmainham. I reached out to Tony when I came back this year and he called me from the hospice quite recently. I was over the moon to hear from him and he was as always a gent. For him to reach out and call me from his bed in St Gabriels shows the heart of that man. I will never forget that day in Kilmainham. May he rest in peace. Andy
