I was heartbroken to hear about the death of my wonderful neighbor and friend Tony. Anne and Tony were the one constant in our family all through our lives in BlackRock. We always had each other's backs. They had our keys, we had theirs. Tony was there to help in all emergencies and crisis of which there were many. The generosity, kindness and genuine affection we had from Tony will never be repayable. He was a gentleman with a great sense of humor who made me feel special, always. I feel so bad for the family left behind especially Anne as they were best friends and cared deeply for each other. His loss will be felt deeply by his family who were very close to him. To all of you Anne, Fionnuala, Kate, Eavann and Finghin and all the grand children I hope you get the strength to get over your loss. He will not be forgotten, he will be remembered and talked about for a long time to come. Tony was a legend...So sorry for all you are suffering at this time.

I was so deeply saddened to learn of Tony's passing.
Growing up next door, I have such fond memories of Tony. Tony & Anne were the most wonderful neighbours, always there with a helping hand, especially during those childhood emergencies.
He truly made Rowanbyrn a special place.
Tony was a kind and generous man, and his presence will be deeply missed. I'm thinking of you, Anne & family and sending you my heartfelt condolences. May you find comfort in the beautiful memories you shared, and in the love and support of those around you.

There will never be another gentleman quite like my uncle Tony. He was a bastion of humility, respect, love and creativity. He was one of our favourite people on this planet. When he spoke it really meant something and when he asked a question he was genuinely interested in the answer. I will miss his good humoured chuckle accompanied by "Ah Mairead!", I will miss his soft-spoken voice and towering stature. I will miss this man so much. Tony, you're a legend and we love you!💕 .
