Rest easy now Dad... "every second beat of your heart" as you always used to say... I will love and miss you forever - your Princess x x x
Tony, may you rest in peace. I have fond memories of the good times, one being my first trip to Derry with Joyce and our walk to Tesco where you proceeded to tell me of how you dealt with people who have hurt Joyce, in the most subtle way of course. Rest assured, I’ll continue to look after your “sweetheart” until we meet again.. god bless and I hope you’ve found peace.
Anto you were my first. Love and the only person i truly ever loved . We had our good times and that’s what I will remember. Thank you for two beautiful children Dylan and Joyce who will be your legacy. Sleep well and my you rest in peace. All my love Lorraine xxx
Thinking of you all at this saddest of times stay strong remember the good times xx
RIP Anthony. Still have great memories of the happy times during the summer holidays when we were kids. You gave the best piggy backs although your cooking needed a bit of practice, "winthewar" stew! I hope you finally found peace.
I only heard on Saturday that the world lost Tony..
It is terribly sad news given his young age.
Like so many of those who knew him through the CPSU I also lost touch with Tony following his move to the North. We did reconnect these past two years though once again we managed to let it slide and I regret that today.
He was a very close friend back in the day who always was hugely popular and terrific fun to be around.
Tony always had his members at heart in the CPSU and it does not surprise me that his dedication to others in life was mirrored in his passing as outlined by Dylan.
My sincere sympathies to the family and friends and may Tony Rest In Peace.
I would like to offer my condolences to the family on the sad loss of Anthony fond memories of ballyfermot drive. May you rest in peace Anthony

Condolences to Tony's family. I worked with him in the CSO in Cork. Tony always told me I reminded him of his sister. Tony had the twinkle in the eye and the smile and was always good for a laugh. May he smile on you all at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
Condolences to all his family from an old school pal from Ballyfermot. Just heard the sad news that "Anto" as he was known in the seventies, had passed away. On behalf of all your old friends from St Johns College, please accept our deepest sympathies.

Deepest sympathy to Tony's family and friends from all at Fórsa Trade Union, particularly those of us who served with Tony during CPSU days. He served the highest Office of President of CPSU, a position he was very proud of and excelled in. Tony was a good friend and colleague but I lost touch too when he moved to Derry but I know many colleagues and former colleagues will be very sad to hear this news, RIP Tony

I worked with him in Dept of Finance. I have fond memories of his time there. May Tony rest in peace.
I have only just heard the sad news of Tony's passing. Sincere sympathies to all of Tony's family and friends. I knew Tony since I started to work for the CPSU in 1988 and he was a dedicated trade unionist and rose to be President of the Union in the 1990s. Many a great meeting we had in those days and pints of course afterwards. Tony was solid and trustworthy and you could always rely on him once a position was agreed. Sadly we lost touch when he moved to Derry. RIP Tony
RIP, Tony. Condolences to family and all who knew him
