I was so very Sad to hear of Anthony 's Passing. I was extremely fond of him and always loved our little chats. He was a great Storyteller with a Top notch sense of Humour and he had the amazing ability to always look at the bright side of Life & not take life too seriously. He was some Man for One Man. His family & extended family meant the world to him and this was always evident when he spoke about you all..... His Wife , Children , Grandchildren , Siblings, Nieces & Nephews were the essence of his Being .

Tony Morris entered our lives through striking up a friendship with my father, Louis, whose family were residing in St Brendan’s as refugees in August 1971. Tony and Veronica took our family under their wing helping us to set up in Dublin. Tony and Louis became lifelong friends sharing a love of crosswords, insightful conversations and durty pints. Tony was a larger-than-life character, lighting up the room with laughter, stories, song and music, a true Dublin raconteur. A Morris tradition was he insisted on buying each of us our confirmation shoes in Desmond’s shop. This ritual was a marker that signalled that we were part of an extended family, and a lifelong devotion to owning sturdy sensible shoes!
You quickly realised that Tony was a man of his word and would go to the end of the earth to assist people he cared about. He was our family advocate, making the transition to a new life in Dublin possible, as without Tony’s actions we most certainly would have returned to an uncertain future in Norn Iron. He infused in us a sense of natural justice, the power of education to improve your life, and a love of Dublin.
We were privileged to have Tony in our lives- Veronica being the perfect foil to him and who quietly and confidently raised a great family. He has left behind a storehouse of memories that will be cherished by all who ever came in contact with him over the years. RIP, Tony.
