So sorry we missed the funeral. Tony was our neighbour in Baltimore and we would regularly chat across the wall usually about boats and engines, he always had time for a chat. He also was very thoughtfull, one day recently when I was picking up leaves he came down his driveway to correctly warn me to wear gloves!
I talked to him just last week, this was very sudden.

The sheer number of condolences. shows that Tony O’Driscoll had a special place in the hearts of those who knew him. Tony and I had a coffee in August outside Jacob’s Bar and despite the hardship of his Covid isolation he was the same wise, sweet and gentle person I’d known for nearly forty years. His stoic courage in the face of serious cancer left an indelible impression on all who met him. He was much loved and will be much missed. My sympathy to his family and friends - and his friends included everyone who ever spent an hour in his calm company. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.

Sad to hear of Tony's sudden passing, my friend Donncha Hayes introduced me to Tony a few year's back, I had a problem with my steering gear, Tony advised me to a solution also adding I may seek advice from those who it all, if you take their advice don't waste my time by coming back for more advice, I don't do that kind of thing, Tony's advice has stood the test of time, a really decent man, may Tony's soul rest in peace.

Many memories of our years in Baltimore. Tony was a shy & quiet man but enjoyed meeting people . So very sad that he battled his illness alone. May he now enjoy the rest he deserves.

I am heartbroken to hear of Tony’s death. He was a good neighbour and friend.
He never complained despite being so ill and having to deal with it in isolation due to Covid. He was very appreciative of the kindness of his friends who looked after him and supported him through it.
He was a presence on our road, a reminder of ‘old Baltimore’, always very kind and helpful.
I shall miss him, his friendship, our chats and the laughs.
