Sincere sympathy to Ben and to the extended O' Sullivan families, on your sad loss with the sudden passing of Tony from this life. What a great character and what a privilege it was to have known him since childhood, in Drimnagh, and later, at work in IT Tallaght. A true gentleman and a real legend in his time. May his spirit continue to radiate in your hearts and minds. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam dílis.

My sincere condolences to Dave and all the O'Sullivan family on the passing of Tony. May he rest in peace.
I I was greatly saddened to hear of the passing of Tony. He was loyal and devoted to his family and his pets and the most obliging person that I have ever met never said “No” to any request. Complex issues were solved over a mug of tea. He was the invisible hand that helped establish the college.
He was well read but he could also read people and suss out any concerns. The discussions during tea breaks were memorable. The Caretakers Office in Premier House echoed to the raucous laughter at lunchtime.
His popularity was evident at his legendary retirement party in the Abberley, when well-wishers poured out on to the street to mark the occasion such was the sentiment.
I last met Tony before the Bruce Springsteen concert last year, having bounced back from a recent health scare. He was in ace form and we bantered all the way up to Croke Park.
It was an honour to have Tony in our lives, even my wife would make him an apple tart at Christmas. His presence enriched everyone he met as we would be regaled with tales, yarns, street wise wisdoms anecdotes and considered opinions. Tony projected an aura of can do as he put everyone else’s concerns before himself.
He leaves behind a chasm that must now be filled with our memories of the times we had in his company with that hallmark wry smile.
