On behalf of the friends and members of North Dublin Swimming Club I wish to express our sincerest sympathies to all the Sadlier family on the passing of their Dad Tony. Tony was a great friend to North Dublin introducing his sons and grandson to swimming. Although a Half Mooner originally swimming with his old pals down at the Battery he had strong connections before then as his wife Doris (Murran)was a sister to 3 members and Michael the youngest was President of North Dublin. I have very fond memories of Tony bringing me to training and matches with Tony jnr and Paul and for that I will be always very grateful.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your dear dad Tony , such fond memories I have of him and your beautiful mam Doris growing up in grove park. I still smile thinking of the time I packed my bags and moved in with you, I’m sure it was all Tony needed after his hard days work and still didn’t say a thing.
