Sincere condolences to Fiona, Phillip and Ollie on the passing of Tony. We were really sorry, being out of the country, to miss his funeral. We owe a lot to Tony, Maisie and family who have always been such wonderful neighbours. We moved to Hayestown 50 years ago knowing no one and we’re lucky enough to meet Maisie and Tony who were so kind, caring and helpful. They were always there with practical help, advice and support ranging from child care to gardening and with a bit of fun mixed in. There was always a welcome on the Hill. Rest in peace Tony, you will be sadly missed.

You were one in a million Tony .your kindness friendship, good neighbour wise craic & good humour & sense of fun was just the best All those years ago on a cold evening in April as we arrived from Mayo to our new home. You with a little prompt from Maisie had the fires on in our new home. What great people not even knowing us What kindness , That flame will never be extinguished. & all is forgiven Tony for putting a great big bush on our footpath & tying my bicycle to the gate & I trying to impress my boyfriend.
