I was so sorry to hear of Tonys passing. Tony worked with my dad in the P&T (An Post) .They were part of a pub quiz team, i think they were called The Cardinals, that won lots of quizzes. I remember the trophies. For a few years i was Tony's postman and when he realised who my dad was we chatted so much about him, the quizzes, the job and League of Ireland Football. My dad got ill and on one of his last journey's back home from the UK we arranged for them to meet up. We went to the house, they swapped photo's, stories, jokes and went for a few pints. It was magical. My dad was so chuffed to see him before he himself passed away not long after.
I loved my chats with Tony and his terrible jokes!
