Anthony (Tony) Tormey

I have fond childhood memories of Tony and his wife Anna visiting my parents, John (Tony's brother) and Lily, at our home in Artane to play cards on Sunday nights. Also there were Tony's brother and sister Benny and Kathleen, and my father's friend Mick Casey. They were wonderful happy nights, enlivened greatly by the exuberance of Tony and Anna. Rest in peace, Tony.

So sorry to hear of Tony's passing. We were so fond of him and Anna growing up in Whitehall and when I met him over the years in Ashbourne. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family on this sad occasion.

I was deeply saddened to hear about your dad’s passing. Over the years he became a dear friend to Ronan and me and I will always cherish the moments we shared. He often spoke with such love and pride about his children and grandchildren. His heart was always full when he spoke about his family.
Tony always spoke about his beloved wife Anna and how much he missed her. I will take comfort in knowing that they are finally back together.
We were lucky to get to call Tony our neighbour and most importantly our friend. May his soul rest in peace.
