He was a remarkable musician and came from a family who for generations were resolutely steadfast in promoting all aspects of our culture. He was universally admired by all for his depth of knowledge of music and in particular music in the midlands. Aodán will be remembered where ever Irish music is played.

We are very sorry to hear of the sad passing our friend Aodán. I fondly remember our time in London in the late 60s early 70s. So sorry to hear of Aodan’s passing. Fond memories of his last game of hurling,JHC in Cusack Park. Aodan drew short straw and ended up in goals. Poor hurling but nobody cared as the craic was mighty. Condolences to all the family. RIP Aodan.
