To Mossy and Noreen, my deepest sympathies are with you both. Aoife will be at peace now with Johnny. Hope ye and the extended family are all doing well
My condolences to Aoife's family and to Eddie, Aoife's uncle.
I've Known Aoife just a little through Maria my sister and friends among Aoife. As I found out the news I was terribly saddened.
Each day when I am working in the garden, I often think of Aoife's presence. I wrote a short Poem that I'd like to share with you, as I really believe she is all around us.
We see you.
Each day you are the light
Each day you are the Robin
The black bird, the butterfly, the magpie with a fellow friend
Each day you are around everyone, family & friends.
We see you, & smile.
Rip Aoife.
Truly one of kind.

My sincere sympathy to Aoife's family on their great loss.
I first met Aoife in Chelsea where we studied together. She was such a unique person in every way. So sharp minded, so insightful. Aoife was communicating in a way that shook you in the kindest way. I cant forget her brilliant sense of humour. Always inventive and so devoted to her art. She was a great inspiration to all of us. Six years ago she visited Greece and stayed to my place. Felt so privileged that I had the opportunity to get to know her better and become friends. I realised the level of warmness and generosity she had. Aoife was so lovely. She is an angel in heaven now. I will always be thinking of you and will be missing you. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Deeply saddened to hear of Aoife's cruel passing. She and I exhibited together at the Kerlin Gallery in 2007/8, and I remember her beautiful unwoven and rewoven flowers rightly stealing the show, and mesmerising everybody. Such dedication, romance, and beauty can never be fully lost and is so unique in this fast world. Love and courage to her family friends.
I am so saddened to hear about Aoife’s passing. She was and is a unique soul. As an artist her work always had an intrigue for me, with subversive humour thrown in for good measure, true to herself I believe. In recent years images she shared offered a view through Aoife’s eyes when she encountered art, culture, nature and new places, a passion which obviously ran deep. When on residency at IMMA in 2010 I remember her having a wonderful rapport with those she shared the opportunity with. Always interested, present and surprising. My sincerest condolences to those near and dear to Aoife.
Sending lots of love and strength for the time ahead to dear Noreen, Maurice and all the family. So sorry to hear your very sad news about Aoife. It was so lovely to know you all as a young family living in Somerset and then to be in touch with Aoife more recently. Aoife was such a wonderful, unique person and will be so missed by many.
Our thoughts are with you all.

Sincere sympathy to Margaret, Eddie, Norrie and Aoife’s family at this sad time. Rest in peace Aoife
My sincerest condolences to Aoife’s family and friends. I went NVAD with her and worked at Imma while she had her studio there. She stayed with me often around that time and we met in London from time to time when we both lived there. She was a beautiful unique lady with such a refined way about her as she floated so gracefully in and out of my life and always with an aura of strength and assurance when it came to her art and her passion. Her absence will be a huge loss for anyone who has had the great honour of knowing her.
So sorry for your sad loss. May your dear Aoife rest in peace. God bless you Noreen and Maurice,
Sincere Sympathy to mother Noreen and extended family especially her aunt Margaret and cousin Norrie from Clogheen on the very sad passing of Aoife. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Aoife brought radiance and light into any dark and dank London house party. Always a social centre point of any art evening, listening and nurturing conversation with her ethereal skin, gorgeous mane of hair and haute couture heels. Love always and eternally your friend

I was so very sad to hear of the loss of Aoife. We became friends at the Royal Academy of Arts in London where we worked together for many years. Aoife was a unique and creative spirit, always positive, interested in everything, kind and generous, elegant and intelligent with a sharp wit. Her untimely passing is a great loss to all that knew her.
You will be so very missed, rest in peace Aoife.

I have a very clear memory of meeting Aoife on one of my very first days at NCAD. She was warm and friendly and striking in the way that she spoke and in the way that she looked with her tumble of beautiful curls.
We were friends throughout college and afterwards I visited her in London and she stayed with me several times in Wales. In many ways we got to know each other best during those visits and I valued her kindness of character and her gentle humour and deeply admired her devotion to her art. Aoife had a spark that always revealed itself in a slightly mischievous twinkle of her eyes. Her ready smile could light up the room and she never had a bad word to say about anybody.
We kept in touch over the years and I consider it a privilege to have been able to correspond with her during the last few months of her illness. True to her character she did not want sympathy and seemed to be facing her future with an acceptance and equanimity I could only marvel at.
I did not know that the last correspondence we had was to be our very last and deeply regret that I was unable to tell her what a very special person she was and what a true privilege it was to have known her.
My deepest sympathies to Noreen and Maurice and all of Aoife's family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Rest in peace dear Aoife, a little light has gone out of the world without you in it,

My sincere sympathy to Noreen, Maurice and family. I first met Aoife when we studied together in London nearly 20 years ago. Aoife was such a unique individual, she was intelligent and had a wonderful sense of humour. She was passionate about art, culture and fashion and a had deep connection to nature. I know she loved to travel, getting to experience so many places around the world. I have very fond memories of meeting her in Lismore, being shown the blackwater river walk and visiting Lismore Castle gallery. Deepest condolences to all of Aoife’s family & those close to her. She had an elegance like no other. She was deeply committed to her art practice as well as her friends and family. I was always amazed at how light Aoife could travel whenever she came to stay. She had a knack for the perfect measure in everything. She was the perfect measure. Aoife will be so very missed.
Aoife became a very close friend of mine from NCAD where we did our first painting module together. During a return to college and finding accommodation scarce, she stayed with my family for a short time and became very much loved by us all –John, Cherry, Jamie and Rebecca.
I visited Aoife, Noreen (and Sooty) last September when the produce of their wonderful garden was coming into season. Aoife met me at her studio residency and gardens up in Lismore Castle, showed me the work she was completing, the ceiling at St. Carthages Cathedral, Mount Melleray Abbey as well as some stunning nature walks close to Tipperary. Upon leaving I was gifted a beautiful box full of vegetables, eggs, honey and a stunning view of the Blackwater. Thank you Noreen.
Aoife is admired by many due to her very uniqueness, spirit and inner beauty. Her immersion in her love of art was and is always going to be truly inspiring. We are all going to miss you so much Aoife. Love to Noreen and family at this difficult time.
