I am so grateful to have sparked up a friendship with Aoife in UCD all those years ago and got to celebrate many life milestones and other adventures with her through the years, a helicopter ride at sundown over downtown Manhattan is one I’ll always remember as well as cheering her on from the sidelines during her debut Dublin City Marathon success.

She was a true friend and I will miss her sparkling personality, strength and positivity..even during visits to see her in Vincent’s in recent months we always found something to laugh about.

I came across this quote from Robert Green Ingersoll which may bring some comfort during the difficult times ahead …so that hope and love can bring some solace…

From that first day at UCD to our last meet up during the summer… she had the power to light up a room and always make even the most introverted of people comfortable & included. The kindest, brightest and beautiful soul. So many lovely memories. Aoife has left an indelible mark on our hearts and minds.
