My deepest heartfelt condolences to April’s husband and her family back home. Our paths only crossed ever so briefly during April’s time in Canterbury, but I cherish those memories of the time that we knew each other back then. May her beautiful soul rest in peace and the light that shone from her continue to shine.

Autumn leaves littered the New York streets on my walk to Saint Bridgets. They appeared to playfully ride, float from overcast skies.
A steady mist drizzled. One could imagine rebirth or even darker skies.
Inside we congregated, masked and socially separated in our love and thoughts.
No one knows “Why” we are taken.
But one thing that we can answer is the love filling the historic church and witnessed for Willie & April on everyone that they have touched.
As we left in the mist, April showered us with love and rebirth.

My deepest condolences to all the family, especially to Jude here in the Geneva area. I was so very sorry and shocked to hear about April's passing. I remember one particular afternoon up in Maire Connolly's house in Gex with April, I think I didn't stop laughing for about two hours. April brought light with her. The Lindsays were well known here for their high spirits and fun characters - breaths of fresh air! May she rest in peace.

Will and Jenny you were truly amazing yesterday. Jenny you carried and conveyed the sorrow and pride of all the Lindsay family so poignantly. Will, your description of April was just spot on, and so eloquent even at this very difficult time, but I am sure you know she was helping you! Not sure you were so different, to me you were so alike in many ways, and it just came through in your heartfelt eulogy. Sincere sympathy and condolences to you all. I am sure April was welcomed by her Mam and Dad whom she loved dearly and by Joe Hazbun and Doreen Brown who she worked with in WHO. Typical of April, she had a few days to get used to her heavenly home and get her Mam and Dad and Joe ready to party in whatever form, as yesterday was Doreen’s birthday so I am sure there was catching up sparkle all around. We worked hard and laughed our way through it with plenty practical jokes and loads of fun and loyalty to each other. We rehashed those times with colleagues Levina, Tina and Khalid more than once since last Thursday and even though we felt April was called away far too soon, we found a laugh. Grief when it visits is nothing like we expect it to be and with the wonderful memories of April and God’s grace, less painful and happy days are certain to be yours again. Sparkle and shine even more dear April in your heavenly home,
