The Clipper Carlton Showband was the first showband that I saw in the 1950’s at The Tower Ballroom in Tarmonbarry, Couty Longford and again in the 1960’s in SanFrancisco. Art, you were part of our musical history , rest in peace
I am very sorry to hear the sad news of Art's passing. He was an inspiration to so many of us and especially to me when I was a young bass player. My heartfelt condolences to all his loved ones. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.
