Arthur was a gentleman and inspiration to all he interacted with, walking great strides and distances to get his steps in each day. I will miss his banter, jokes, and happy-go-lucky demeanour dearly.

What a lovely send off. I will miss you. You were my bodyguard when i sold the Sunday morning papers outside Rialto church for many years. I will miss seeing you on your walks more recently and still refusing a lift home if i asked. You always made me smile. Thank you.

Lorraine Chris and family, so sorry we could not be with you. Arthur was a great character. He always had a kind (and bad) word to cheer you up and make you laugh. Many nice holidays with Arthur in Torremolinos, always walking. He's at peace now.

I am so sad to hear of Arthur’s death. I only moved to Rialto with my partner 3 years ago. Since then my dog rhubarb has been a constant in seeking out Arthur. His kindness and friendliness to an outsider in me, my dog rhubarb and my partner Orlaith has been so comforting. The wish I could explain to the dog rhubarb the gravity of the loss Rialto had just had.

An absolute gent of a man, who always had a funny story to tell, he had great time for everyone and he will be missed around Rialto.

A very funny man, loved his jokes when you would meet him on rialto street, he would never walk past without stopping even as kids when we played football in his avenue, gentleman

We are so sad to hear of Arthur's. passing. He was such a lovely gentleman, and he will be missed by all living in Rialto. He loved to meet all the people and animals in the area. He loved every dog, he saw and they loved him. Our dog Sammy, got so excited, when he came near our house with treats.
We will remember, the kind and gentle person, he was for a very long time. Rest in peace Arthur.

Sleep well, Arthur. I will always remember you for your cheeky sense of humour and your love of animals. Stanley was absolutely mad about you; he still paws at your front door hoping you’ll pop out with a big box of treats. May you rest in peace.

Very sad to hear of Arthurs passing although I knew he hadnt been well recently. A great pal of my dad, Fran and always met you with a smile and a story.

I had only met him out walking lily along the canal a month and a half ago when he told me about his health.

Arthur loved meeting people and loved walking the dogs. I remember him well from the Carrigans days. My deepest condolences to all of Arthur's family and his friends
