Arthur (Artie) Thornton

I am so deeply saddened to hear this news.
Many years have passed and I am sorry not to have met him in a while.

He was one of the funniest, kindest, smartest people I knew, making not only a huge mark on me personally but also growing up he was a beautiful wave on a generation.

I am so very saddened to hear of Artie's passing. He was such a gentle soul and though I had not seen him for a long time I will miss him.
I was in St Jarlath's with Artie and after that I used to meet him in Galway, in Highfield Park, when he stayed there, I lived on the same street. God rest him.

Sincere condolences. I met Artie in college and in later years he called into my shop many times buying books and music. I can’t think of better company to be in and I count myself lucky to have known him.
