I have just heard the tragic news about Arthur. I am deeply sorry and shocked at this terrible loss as I know you were a very close family. I worked with Arthur for many many years in both Sutton and Belcamp exchanges and we had a great relationship. We played pitch and putt and Gaelic football in the job and Arthur never failed to ring me after a Dublin game for post match analysis.
All my girls and my son Ciaran knew Arthur very well from dropping into Belcamp on a Saturday. When the girls were in America on their JI's Arthur would put the calls through every week to save them a few dollars!! "Arthur Trouble Daly" was what he introduced himself when he made the call and that is what he was known to them as forever.
We are thinking of you all at this terrible time.

I only heard this news and was in shock. Very saddened and want to send on condolences to JJ, Aisling and Rose.

Having him as a football coach as a young kid was great but the tennis with him and JJ in our early teens brings back great times. Travelling up to Dundalk, staying with JJ’s grandparents and playing up there is still one of my favourite childhood memories. Id never even been to an airport before and I felt like we were going to Spain for a week. Magical times.
RIP Arthur. You will be missed.

So sorry to hear about Arthur, we lost our own father this week so we know how difficult it must be for your family.

We lived on the same road as the Daly's growing up and they were a lovely family.

Very sad to hear about the sudden death of Arthur. Thinking of his family and loved ones at this very difficult time. I worked with Arthur in St. John's College and he was always a great colleague to work alongside. He was so insightful and knowledgeable and shared many stories with the Students. He was so well liked; always in good humour and singing a tune. Very fond memories of Arthur. RIP. X

So shocked to hear this tragic news. Arthur was a one-off. So thoughtful, kind, would do anything for anyone. He was a true people person. I can't imagine the heartache Rose, Aisling, John Jo and all the family are going through. I have particularly happy memories of the time Arthur and Rose drove me in the campervan from Collioure to Milan to watch my beloved Newcastle United. That was an amazing trip with many happy memories. Rest in Peace, Arthur.
