My sincere sympathy to Hilary, Jonathan, and Ross on the sad passing of Charlie.
Away back in 1975, when I was tasked with opening a new branch of the UB in Navan, Charlie was Manager of the Royal Bank. He very generously introduced me to many of the business community and gave me a lot of ongoing practical advice, which was greatly appreciated.
He was a thorough gentleman with high standards and, 50 years later, I still have fond memories of the true professional fellowship and integrity of the Navan bankers at that time.
May he rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to Arthur's family. I remember in the early 1970's he would visit my late Aunt Teresa when he visited Durrow, she always spoke fondly of his visits. May he rest in peace.

Deepest sympathy to the family on the death of Charlie. He was the Captain of Palmerston F.C when I joined in season 1954/5. Last met him at DLSP centenary dinner. A pleasure to have known him-may he now Rest in Peace.

I had the pleasure of working for Mr. Hovenden in AIB 64 Grafton Street in the late 1980's and early 1990's. He was an absolute gentleman in the best possible way. May Charlie Rest In Peace.

Charlie was a great colleague, a first class banker, a wise counsellor, always courteous and always in good form. A formidable opponent on the rugby field and I was delighted that he lived to a ripe old age.

I have fond memories of Charlie in Navan Branch and subsequently as a Regional Manager in AIB.
Charlie was a dedicated and caring gentleman and we were very good friends.
He never forgot his Royal Bank history and he loved his rugby.
So sorry for you, Hilary, but I know that you must have great memories of your long life together, that will help you to cope with your huge loss. Unfortunately, I am abroad and will miss the funeral but my prayers will be with you all.
