Only just heard about Arthur’s sad passing- we knew each other for over 50 years and every time we met turned into an event 😜😜rest peacefully my friend and sincerest condolences to all of Arthur’s family

Arthur was a lovely friendly man. I am sorry that I never heard of his death. If I had, I would have attended his funeral. My deepest sympathy to all in his family

Arthur was an amazing character whom we met initially in 1968 in Priory Ave where he had many cups of tea enjoying our Mother’s (Winnie Rhatigan) company.

We have met Arthur several times over the years and he will be sorely missed RIP.

My condolences to the Lyon’s family on the passing of Arthur.
Arthur and his Mum lived down the road from us in Athlone when we were all children. As we grew up we all went our separate ways and we never made contact again. It appears Arthur had a happy life from the notIce and I am glad for him. I am really sorry that he has passed. His Mum always called him ‘My Arthur’. Happy childhood memories !
