I was so sad to hear of Arthur's passing. It only seems like yesterday that I met Arthur and we spent an hour solving the problems of the world. When I came to Carrick nearly 40 years ago, I met Arthur on many occasions in the local courts and I have to say that the late Judge James Gilvarry held Arthur in the highest esteem. One would always get the unvarnished truth from Arthur no matter what. A true gentleman. May Arthur's gentle soul rest in peace. My deepest sympathy to you Rosaleen and also to Mairead and Niamh.

Sad to hear that Arthur has passed away, Arthur was a real gentleman and a great promoter of the GAA and a great friend of mine in the 70s when he was about North Leitrim. George O’Toole, a former Leitrim Board Chairman, said Arthur Boyle was like a missioner when it came to promoting the GAA.
