Thinking of Austin & Sandra on the passing of your Dad Austin, what a lovely send off you both gave. I had the pleasure of meeting Austin when he a huge part of the Electronics & Engineering Branch in SIPTU, The Branch had moved to Gardiner Street, I was the newly Admin in the Branch, from the moment I met him, we became friends. He was a gentleman, always willing to help others, always smiling, always telling stories over a cup of tea about his life, work, family and your of course your Mam Nancy, Nancy was his absolute world, as well as you both. Your Dad was remarkable, he was an inspiration to the love & care he shown your Mam over the years. I am absolutely devastated & heartbroken to hear of his passing, SIPTU has lost a very special person. RIP Austin, you will be greatly missed, as you were really unforgettable x

I remember meeting him and thinking he couldn’t be Austin Juniors dad, he always looked incredibly youthful and had a welcoming smile for all.
