Sorry to see the passing of a great Galway man Austin O Connor this evening.As a member of St Pats football club The Kinvara pub was our base for a few years in the 90s. and we were well looked after by Austin and staff. I have just read the lovely obituary for this kind looking Galway man and I wanted to pass on condolences from his home county. Austin sounded like a most remarkable man and a great family man. He will clearly be missed by so many family members and friends. Like so many, he left his homeplace behind to make a better life for himself and it certainly seems like his dreams came true with alot of hard work and sacrifice. I am sure he carried his Irish heritage with great pride always. May he be reunited with his beloved wife and predeceased family members and may he rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
