Austin Joyce

Very sorry to hear about Austin's passing. A real gentleman, he was such a friendly and familiar presence in our community. Always a pleasure to meet and so nice to deal with when he was suiting me up for a few debs balls in the late 90's/early noughties. Thinking of and sending my condolences to John, Sarah and all the Joyce family at this very sad and difficult time. May Austin RIP!

Dear Lucy, Edel, Yvonne, John, Sarah, Austin, all Austin’s adored grandchildren, in laws & family.
It is with such sadness that we learned of Austin’s passing.

We are honoured to have such a wonderful neighbour for well over 40 years. Over that time, Austin was like the gate keeper & guardian of Park Avenue & could be regularly seen out in his garden waving & smiling at those who passed. He will be sorely missed by many who treasured his kind and caring nature. He was truly a gentle gentle man & always wore his a trade mark smile.
Mum spoke fondly of Austin keeping her company during Covid as the chatted over the back wall.
May God be kind to you over these difficult days & may you find comfort in Austin’s strong faith & the knowledge he has been warmly welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Louisburgh and Castleknock have lost a true and loyal friend. Austin Joyce was the most earthed person I ever met. Always in good humour, always doing for people, he loved and adored his family. When people pass on, most are remembered and as the years pass on the memories fade. In Austins case, I cant see that happening. RIP good man, you were there amongst the winners when the final whistle blew.
