It was with great sadness i learned of Austins passing to-day I shared an office with Austin in Guerin Media for a sort time a gentleman I loved our chats on the GAA politics etc Any conversation always involved Patricia and his family..To quote
the old saying Austin you were a TOFF.. Andrew

I've known Austin seven years as Katie's partner and from day one he was very welcoming towards me. Himself and Patricia welcomed me into their lovely home and and treated me as one of the family and I'm forever grateful and humbled by that.
Austin was a gentleman and very honest straight talking no nonsense matter of fact way about him which I admire greatly in him as you don't see that in too many people.
Austin had a great way with people he was a great conversationalist as he was very knowledgeable about anything and everything, I would learn something new from every time I'd come to the house, he was also very funny with a quick dry humour that would have you laughing long after he's said it.
Anytime I visited Austin and Patricia's house I sensed the love and warmth between the two of them side by side with Jack the dog in between watching TV -mostly watching university challenge and answering most of the questions right!
Austin was a proud dad for Austin matt and Katie you could see it in his face when we were altogether as a family, also the best grand dad to ciara who he adored so so much.
Austin thank you for welcoming me into your family . I will promise to look after Katie for you.
We miss you greatly.
