The committee of Limerick Regatta are deeply saddened to hear of Austin’s passing.
He gave so much of himself to the rowing community, and his dedication to Limerick Regatta in particular will never be forgotten. His passion, commitment, and quiet hard work helped shape the event into what it is today, and his impact will be felt for years to come.
Thinking of Carmel, Louise, Greg, Robert, Esther & all of Austin’s family and friends at this very difficult time. May he rest in peace.

The best teacher I ever had in St Munchins. We still talk about him to this day. He brought history to life with his passion for the subject. RIP Austin Reid
