Dearest Sr Veronica, I was very sorry to learn only yesterday of the too quick a death of your beloved brother whom you always spoke of so fondly of. It saddened me to see you upset.
He was so cherished by you that it must have left a terrible void in your life now.
Although I never met him, I feel that I knew him from all your stories over the years. Reading the condolences also I'm sorry that i didn't have the opportunity to meet him.
Its must be so difficult and sad that you can no longer pick up the phone to have your little chats with him but I hope that your strong religious belief of knowing that you will meet him again will help you and all his family in this difficult time xxx

Words cannot truly express the loss of such a wonderful, caring, loyal, gentle, loving, bright, knowledgeable, and witty Gentleman that is Austin.

It’s so hard to believe he has left this earth, but I have no doubt he has gone to a better place — one where laughter echoes, kindness is currency, and stories are shared over endless cups of tea.

Every time I met Austin, the chats and banter were contagious. He had a way of lighting up a room without even trying. His sense of humour, his warmth, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome will stay with us all.

To Glenn, Sarah, Marie, and all of Austin’s family — I know this is an incredibly difficult time, but I believe Austin is smiling down on you, whispering a kind word, and encouraging you to celebrate the beautiful life he lived.

I am deeply sorry I cannot be there in person, but please know my thoughts are with you.

The world was truly a better place with Austin in it.

Rest easy, mo chara. I’m proud and grateful to have called you my friend.
