To all Aveen's family so sorry to hear of her passing such a lovely lady may she rest in peace.
My sincere condolences to all of Aveen’s family on her passing. I first met Aveen when I was a pupil in Sion Hill in the seventies. In the eighties, we became colleagues and friends when I returned there as a teacher. I recall the times she called to my house on her way home to Bray and it was after midnight before she’d leave. We talked and laughed a lot. She was a kind and warm-hearted person but I particularly loved her wicked sense of humour – she didn’t suffer fools gladly! She brightened up many a dull winter day in the staffroom. While we went our separate ways many years ago I will never forget Aveen.
Sincere sympathy to Moira and all Aveen's family on her passing.
I remember Aveen from our school days in Sligo but our paths have not crossed since then. I know she had a very fullfilled life and touched the lives of many in her teaching career and outside it.
May she rest in peace.

We were so sorry to hear of Aveen’s passing. She was kind and compassionate always and a great neighbour. Rest in peace Aveen.
I was so sad to hear about the passing of my dear friend Aveen. Aveen was so kind, so caring and so compassionate. She was really good to me and I'm so glad we met when both of us were employed in Sion Hill in 1970. We worked hard and played hard back then, but what I remember most is the craic we had. Aveen was such great fun to live with and to work with. I have such wonderful memories that will bring a smile to my face long into the future. On occasions Aveen had to pick herself up by her bootstrings and has taught me so much about coping with the difficulties life can present. Her loyalty was unwavering. That trait was one of the many wonderful traits she had that I most admired. I loved her and will miss her dreadfully. She was so blessed by her family, especially Moira as one of her sisters and by many other close friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sí. Deirdre
