So very sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. She was a classmate and friend all through secondary school in Mater Christi. Had such great giggles with her and she had many sleepovers in my house for concerts etc. We were supposed to catch up but im so sad it never happened. R.I.P Barbara

So terribly sorry to hear this news and our deepest condolences to Finn, Carol and to all of Barbaras' family. So sorry Finn on the loss of your beautiful mum. Barbara was a saving grace to us when we tumbled in next door to a house in the throws of renovations next door in 2020 with which she and Carol had so much patience with all the noise and banging. Nothing was ever a problem for her and her wine fridge loan was a saving grace and sat at the top of our stairs for 2 months while waiting for a kitchen.
An absolute lady.

Barbara lit up the 4th floor of our office and her laughter could be heard before she was seen! Like a mother hen, she loved to organise us. A wonderful colleague who later became a wonderful friend. Finn, you were her world. She was robbed of more time with you and watching your future unfold but can rest happy and proud, knowing what a lovely young man you have become. To Finn, Carole, Fran and family I am so sorry for your loss. May beautiful, bubbly, Barbara rest in peace now. Ursula.

Barbara, my beautiful niece, I am so sad to have to contact you this way. Our paths didn’t cross very often, lucky for me my memory of you is a happy smiling face. We met by chance in Roches Stores shopping mall elevator the last time I was in Dublin and we had time for a family chat. You were carefree, a happy camper doing a bit of family shopping. I am so sorry your life on earth had to be cut so short you didn’t deserve that. You where loved and admired by all your family starting with your son Finn, your parents, down to all your sisters and brothers and cousins and me your Uncle Des. My thoughts are with Finn, Peggy and your sisters and brothers and my actions will be to pray for your soul to rejoice with the Lord God in heaven for all eternity. Rest In Peace Babs. I live 2 doors up from Barbara and met her when she moved into the development with Finn. She was very enthusiastic and had her home revamped so quickly. It would put us all to shame.We had a few chats and getting Finn's room sorted was a priority which she did with great style and energy. May she rest peacefully.

My beautiful blonde cousin Barbara whom I looked up to so much and I always remember as being so kind & so zen. The last time I saw her a few years back at a family wedding she looked amazing wearing a green satin dress. This is how I will remember her. My thoughts are with Finn, my aunt Peggy and family. My sincere condolences to Barbara's son Finn and all the Barry family. I was in national school with Barbara,and we would of went to the Ashbourne discos in the community centre. I remember when Johnny Logan won the eurovison in the late 80s and their was a welcome home party for him, there was a stage in Kelly's field(Tesco) Barbara asked him to sign her white runner boot.🙂 The things you remember. Heartfelt sympathies to you all. I'm a work colleague of Babs. I'm so sad to hear this awful news. She was full of fun and positivity and we always had a laugh together. She called me Joan (Joan Collins) and I called her Jane (Jane Fonda). We admired them for being so glam and aspired to look that good when we got that old. I never thought she wouldn't make it. I will be abroad for the funeral unfortunately, I would definitely have been there otherwise. Thinking of Finn especially. I'm so very sorry for such a huge loss to you. Rest in peace lovely Babs.
