Such unbelievably saddening news. Barbara remains one of my favourite people, she shone with such brightness ... yet so quietly. I remember her somewhat sheepishly showing us around her exhibition in NCAD, having apparently no idea that what she lacked in confidence, she had treble the amount in flaming courage and determination.
Seeing her dote upon her family was a never-ending pleasure, including her light yet heavily communicative Sighs when she disapproved of something they were doing!
I'll forever remember her warm yet delicate hugs and the sparkle in her laugh, and her tittering love of Michael Bublé songs.
The world is a little less bright today, but what a dismal place it would have been, had it not been for Barbara.
Rest in Peace, Babs ...
